Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using Adaptive AI ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered members, and subscribers alike. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or in-app notice.

About the Platform

Adaptive AI is an AI-powered personalized learning platform designed to help individuals build technical, ECE hardware, and professional skills across IT, ECE, and Non-IT tracks (Medicine, Law, Commerce, Agriculture, Arts). The Platform includes, but is not limited to: adaptive video courses, AI-generated quizzes with job-readiness scoring, AI mentor chat, spaced-repetition flashcards, mindmaps, coding sandboxes, ECE circuit simulators, Non-IT case study solvers with interactive execution, career path advisor, a job board with AI matching, portfolio tools, collaborative study rooms, AI summarizer, project generator, knowledge diagnostics, weak-area tracking, leaderboard and streak gamification, certificates of completion, and document-based AI querying (RAG). Features are subject to change as we improve the Platform.

Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users in the European Economic Area must be at least 16 unless verifiable parental consent is obtained.
• By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@adaptive-ai.app if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one active free account. Duplicate accounts may be removed without notice.
• We reserve the right to refuse registration to or suspend/terminate the account of any person who violates these terms.

Permitted Use

You may use the Platform solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You agree that you will not:

• Do not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our express written permission.
• Do not use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to extract, index, or copy Platform content.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or connected databases.
• Do not upload, transmit, or share content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful.
• Do not use AI features to generate spam, misinformation, hateful content, or content that violates any applicable law.
• Do not share, resell, or sublicense access to the Platform or any content downloaded from it.
• Do not circumvent any technical measures we use to enforce these terms or protect the Platform.
• Do not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Do not interfere with the proper operation of the Platform or the experience of other users.
• Do not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law.

User-Generated Content

Some features may allow you to submit content (such as messages in study rooms, portfolio entries, or support tickets). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for operating and improving the Platform. You retain ownership of your content. You confirm that your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

Intellectual Property

All Platform content, including course materials, AI-generated responses, design, branding, software, database schemas, APIs, and documentation, is owned by or licensed to Adaptive AI and is protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for personal educational purposes only. This licence does not permit you to download course videos in bulk, resell or redistribute any content, remove any copyright or proprietary notices, or use our branding or trademarks without prior written permission.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Platform uses large language models and generative AI to produce educational content, code snippets, quiz questions, career advice, and other material. While we take steps to ensure quality and accuracy, AI output may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or out of date. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or medical advice. You should independently verify critical information before acting on it. Never input passwords, API keys, financial data, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data into any AI feature on the Platform.

Certificates of Completion

Upon completing a qualifying course or learning path, you may earn a certificate issued by Adaptive AI. Certificates recognise your learning effort on this Platform and are not externally accredited by any government body, university, or professional association unless explicitly stated on the certificate itself. We reserve the right to revoke any certificate obtained through academic dishonesty, cheating on quizzes, or violation of these terms.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Google (OAuth sign-in), YouTube (embedded videos), Supabase (database and authentication), Groq (AI inference), Vercel (hosting), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We also display links to external job listings and resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party website or service.

Payments, Subscriptions, and Free Tier

Adaptive AI currently offers a free tier that provides access to core Platform features at no charge. If we introduce paid tiers, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future, the following terms will apply:

• All pricing will be displayed clearly in the local currency applicable to your region, inclusive of applicable taxes, before you commit to any purchase.
• Subscriptions will auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for unused periods unless required by law.
• We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days advance notice to subscribed users.
• We will never charge your saved payment method without displaying a clear confirmation screen and obtaining your explicit approval.
• For billing disputes, contact support@adaptive-ai.app within 30 days of the disputed charge.

Privacy

Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains in detail what personal data we collect, the legal basis for processing it, how long we retain it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. By using the Platform, you acknowledge our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

DMCA and Copyright Infringement

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@adaptive-ai.app with the subject "DMCA Takedown Request" containing:

• A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
• The URL or specific location on the Platform where the allegedly infringing content appears.
• Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Accessibility

We are committed to making Adaptive AI accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the Platform. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us at support@adaptive-ai.app with the subject "Accessibility Issue" and a description of the barrier. We will work to resolve it as quickly as possible. Full accessibility compliance requires ongoing testing with assistive technologies.

Security Disclosure Policy

We take security seriously. If you discover a security vulnerability in the Platform, we ask that you disclose it responsibly:

• Email support@adaptive-ai.app with the subject "Security Disclosure" before publicly disclosing the issue.
• Provide sufficient detail to reproduce and understand the vulnerability.
• Do not exploit the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the issue.
• Do not access, modify, or delete other users' data.
• Give us at least 14 days to investigate and apply a fix before public disclosure.

Disclaimers and No Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that (a) the Platform will meet your requirements; (b) it will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, or error-free; (c) the results obtained through using the Platform will be accurate or reliable; or (d) defects will be corrected. Use of the Platform is at your sole risk. The Platform is designed as an educational aid and does not guarantee employment outcomes, salary levels, or exam results.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Adaptive AI, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or missed opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the greater of the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 500.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Adaptive AI and its founders, employees, contractors, licensors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Platform.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. You may request an export of your learning data (progress, certificates, quiz scores) before your account is closed by contacting support@adaptive-ai.app. We are not liable for any loss resulting from suspension or termination.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at support@adaptive-ai.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief from a competent court.

Changes to the Platform and These Terms

We are constantly improving Adaptive AI. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Platform at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of significant changes via email or in-app announcement. Similarly, we may update these Terms of Service periodically. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Adaptive AI regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
